Model Tartanova Reaches Agreement with Ex-Boyfriend, Family Denies Reconciliation
The model«s sister stated that Angelika Tartanova has not forgiven the man accused of assaulting her.
Reports have emerged in the media that model Angelika Tartanova, who suffered a severe traumatic brain injury at the end of November, has reached a settlement with the accused, Dmitry Kuzmin. Some outlets have presented this as a «reconciliation between the parties.» However, the victim«s sister, Anastasia, in a conversation with MSK1.RU, categorically denied such interpretations.
Angelika reportedly had to spend a week relearning how to sign her name on documents.
«This is not »we reached a settlement and all is forgiven.« No. Angelika hates him because he disfigured her and left her disabled for life,» said the model«s sister Anastasia. She confirmed that the document exists, but its essence is not forgiveness. »The agreement has no bearing on the criminal trial that awaits him.«

The victim«s lawyer, Oleg Sereda, also confirmed the signing of the agreement. He clarified that it is merely a civil document on compensation, which does not affect court decisions in the criminal case against businessman Dmitry Kuzmin.
Angelika«s older sister Anastasia now handles all of the injured woman»s affairs.
«That»s right, there is an agreement between the victim Angelika and the accused. Moreover, with Angelika«s consent, I have withdrawn my appeal regarding the preventive measure of house arrest. This was not a condition, it was simply a gesture of her good will, one could say,» clarified the lawyer for the beaten model.
«The agreement on our part is only that we do not communicate with the media and will not »badmouth« him further. If he stops paying, we will communicate with the media again. That was our agreement. So don»t believe what they write, no one has forgiven him,« explained the sister of the beaten model.
She also sharply commented on words attributed to Angelika herself about «compensation for treatment and moral damage.» In them, Angelika says that Dmitry Kuzmin «has begun to fulfill his financial obligations.» Angelika«s sister refuted such statements: the model cannot speak in such constructions.
«She could not have written that due to her health. She is currently unable to write or read,» said the sister. She reminded of the model«s condition.
Lawyer Oleg Sereda clarified that contact from Kuzmin«s side was established only after the criminal case was initiated. Until a certain point, Dmitry had not contacted Angelika or her sister and had not participated in compensating for the treatment.
Anastasia added that they were pushed to negotiate by an acute need for money for rehabilitation, expensive treatment, and an upcoming surgery.
«We need to treat the person here and now... I have to order a plate for her, which is very expensive. I don»t have the money for that,« added the sister.
Despite the financial arrangements between the parties, the family intends to participate in the criminal process until the end.
«We will seek [a trial and prison for Dmitry]. He ruined her entire life until the end of her days,» declared Anastasia.
Lawyer Oleg Sereda confirmed that the family will participate in holding Dmitry accountable.
