Mayor Details Round-the-Clock Snow Clearing in Ryazan Amid Snowfall

Mayor Boris Yasinsky stated that all municipal services are mobilized and working non-stop to clear the snow.
From the very morning, Ryazan is being swept by a heavy snowfall, which, as forecasters believe, will increase snowdrifts by at least 10 centimeters. Taxi driver Alexey told a YA62.RU journalist that driving was difficult since 8 a.m.
Road crews and communal workers are deployed across Ryazan to clear snow from streets and ensure traffic flow.
«It took an hour from Sovetskaya Armiya to Chernyshevsky, the traffic jams due to snow are just terrible! Usually, the trip takes 15, at most 20 minutes. All the equipment is in Moscow, but definitely not in Ryazan,» Alexey stated.
By lunchtime, the snowfall hasn«t subsided and, it seems, is even picking up pace. Until the end of the day on January 27, an emergency warning is in effect in the Ryazan region due to a blizzard and strong wind, with gusts that can reach 17 meters per second.
Against the backdrop of the snowfall, the head of the Ryazan administration, Boris Yasinsky, reported on street cleaning.
«In connection with the snowfall, the Directorate of Improvement has mobilized all forces and means and is working round the clock,» the mayor stated.
According to his data, 15 combined road machines are treating the roadways, and 87 people are clearing bus stops and pedestrian crossings. Teams are also removing snow in the Zheleznodorozhny and Sovetsky districts.
It remains to be hoped that the situation from the January weekends won«t repeat now, when Ryazan was under the strong influence of cyclone »Francis.« A state of heightened readiness was even introduced, and residents mocked the uncleared streets on TikTok.
