Krasnoarmeysk Resident Sawed Up and Sold His Seized VAZ-2105 for Scrap

The town of Krasnoarmeysk was historically known as Krasnoarmeysk-64.
A resident of Krasnoarmeysky District sawed up and sold for scrap a VAZ-2105 car that had previously been seized by bailiffs. For this, the court imposed a fine of one hundred thousand rubles (approximately $1,100 at current rates) on him. Details of the 25-year-old young man«s machinations were revealed by the press service of the regional Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP).
Previously, the man had been found guilty of driving a vehicle while intoxicated. After being caught by police drunk at the wheel for the second time, the court ordered the confiscation of his VAZ-2105. The car was left with the owner under a written pledge.
When the bailiff came to the home of the subject of the court materials to check the safekeeping of the seized property, he did not find the car there. The former owner periodically went away for work, and ignored the bailiff«s demands to show the property. Moreover, the man stated that he did not know where the car was.
Then he reported that the car had allegedly been stolen, but he did not report this to the police. After that, a female bailiff demanded that the Krasnoarmeysk resident go to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) to register the «crime» in order to prove his innocence in the theft of the «five». Already at the police, he admitted that he had dismantled the car into parts, and the body he sold and sawed up for scrap metal.
A case was initiated against the Krasnoarmeysk resident for illegal actions with property subjected to arrest or confiscation. The court sentenced him under part 2 of article 312 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation to a fine of 100,000 rubles (approximately $1,100 at current rates).
