Investigators Release Video from 9-Year-Old Boy's Death Scene

In Nyazepetrovsk, where a 9-year-old boy died after falling into a hatch, employees of the regional department of the Investigative Committee (SK) worked all night. On Thursday afternoon, January 29, they published video from the scene.

The deceased boy was in the third grade
It is visible that the hatch was located away from roads and sidewalks — only paths are seen nearby in snowdrifts. The well was covered with a piece of linoleum and a layer of snow.
In Nyazepetrovsk, a commission from the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services has been working since morning. Officials are checking all documentary bases (improvement rules, site plans) to determine who is responsible for the well in which the schoolboy died. The commission is headed by Deputy Minister Elena Shevtsova.
The head of the Investigative Committee of Russia (SK) today requested a report on the investigation of the criminal case for causing death by negligence due to improper performance of professional duties.
Under Part 2 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, various types of punishment are provided, from restriction or deprivation of liberty for up to three years, or forced labor for up to three years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years or without it.
The tragedy occurred the day before. The child went missing after leaving for school. During the day, messages about his search appeared on social networks. It is known that the deceased is from a large family, and the parents are raising two younger children.
