Husband Held Amid Wife's Retraction of Pedophilia Claim

The Mirninsky District Court extended the detention of 35-year-old Yakutia resident Mikhail S. (name changed. — Editor«s note.), whom his wife accused of molesting her eight-year-old stepdaughter. His wife reported on her Instagram page (an extremist organization banned in Russia) that he remains in Yakutsk»s SIZO.
Mikhail remains in the SIZO detention facility pending further legal proceedings.

Mikhail«s case was heard by the Supreme Court of Yakutia due to an appeal against the Mirninsky District Court»s ruling on the preventive measure. His wife Darima (name changed. — Editor«s note.) claims she falsely accused her husband and is seeking to open a criminal case for false denunciation, «just so he gets out of prison».
But the Supreme Court kept Mikhail in SIZO until March 7. Their lawyer plans to file an appeal. Darima also said that a pre-investigation check is reportedly underway against her under Article 306 of the Russian Criminal Code (knowingly false denunciation).
«I was questioned as a witness in the false denunciation case, and other witnesses were also interrogated. The pre-investigation measures are not yet over; nothing is known. I want a criminal case to be opened against me because I accused my husband under the most terrible article,» Darima shared.
Her husband Mikhail is currently charged with violent sexual acts against his eight-year-old stepdaughter. He faces up to 20 years in prison. Recently, he wrote a love letter to his wife, in which he admitted that he does not hold a grudge against her and dreams of returning home because he really misses the children.
The criminal case was opened on October 7, 2025, based on Darima«s statement. The editorial board of 14.RU reported her version, in which Darima openly stated that she falsely accused her husband over a trivial domestic quarrel and jealousy.
Darima and her husband were hosts of corporate events and weddings in Yakutia. The woman has nearly 6,000 subscribers. She is now single-handedly raising three children, two of whom are the accused man«s biological children.
