House arrest extended for contractor in clinic fraud case

The court upheld the restrictive measure for Anton Yevdokimov, whose company is building a modular clinic on Gogol Street.

A criminal fraud case was initiated in November 2025 based on materials from a prosecutor«s inspection. The investigation concerns the misuse of funds allocated for the construction.

The prosecutor«s office stated: »Of the 258 million rubles (approximately $2.9 million at current rates) transferred by the customer as an advance, the contractor spent only a third on settlements with a subcontractor organization. The remaining funds were used for the needs of LLC «Algorithm» unrelated to the clinic«s construction and for providing interest-free loans to the company»s head.«
Construction work at the site continues by LLC «Algorithm». On 28 January, the government of the Yaroslavl Region stated its intention to apply penalty sanctions to the contractor.
The decision to build a new clinic was made after an emergency building on Moskovsky Prospekt was closed in the summer of 2023. The historical building was deemed unfit and put up for sale, but a buyer has never been found. The opening was initially planned for the end of 2024, but the deadlines were repeatedly postponed due to supply disruptions of structural components.
In August 2025, the prosecutor«s office issued a warning to the head of the contracting company about the inadmissibility of improper fulfillment of contractual obligations.
Governor Mikhail Yevrayev stated that the clinic should start operating in the first quarter of 2026.
