Home Arrest Extended for Yaroslavl Contractor Building Gogol Street Clinic

In Yaroslavl, home arrest has been extended for the general director of the company building a modular clinic on Gogol Street. As clarified by 76.RU with the press service of the Yaroslavl Regional Court, Anton Yevdokimov will remain under home arrest until 26 February.

Recall that the initiation of a criminal fraud case became known in November 2025. The investigation began based on materials from a prosecutor«s office check.

«Of the 258 million rubles (approximately $2.6 million at current rates) transferred by the client as an advance, only one-third was spent by the contractor on settlements with a subcontractor organization. The remaining funds were used for the needs of OOO »Algoritm« (Algorithm LLC), unrelated to the construction of the clinic, and for providing interest-free loans to the head of the organization,» the prosecutor«s office reported.

Despite the investigation, construction is being continued by Algorithm LLC. On 28 January, the regional government announced that punitive sanctions will be imposed on the contractor.

Recall that the new modular clinic on Gogol Street was decided to be built after the emergency closure of a medical facility on Moscow Avenue in the summer of 2023. The landmark building was declared unsafe and decided to be sold. However, a buyer has not yet been found. According to the contract, the new modular clinic was supposed to open by the end of 2024, but the deadlines have been repeatedly postponed due to disruptions in the supply of structures from the manufacturer.

In August 2025, the prosecutor«s office issued a warning to the head of the contracting company about the inadmissibility of improper fulfillment of contract obligations.

According to Governor Mikhail Yevrayev, the clinic should start operating in the first quarter of 2026.
