Officers of the FSB directorate for Samara Region shut down a large drug lab. In Shigonsky District, they arrested a resident of Syzran who had organized the production of synthetic drugs.
According to the agency, he set up the lab in October 2025 with the aim of producing and selling drugs in various regions of Russia.
During a search, operatives found and seized over 51 kg of the synthetic drug a-PVP. This drug, known as «salt», is one of the most dangerous types of psychoactive substances.
A criminal case has been opened under Part 5 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (production of narcotic drugs on an especially large scale). This is one of the most serious drug offenses, carrying a penalty of up to life imprisonment.
Investigative actions are underway. All details of the lab«s organization, supply channels for raw materials, and distribution of finished products are being established. The suspect likely had accomplices, whose role is also to be determined by the investigation.
