From Siberia With Love: How a 24-Year-Old Model Sent Girls to Epstein

A new data dump in the case of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has drawn Russian attention. Among millions of documents, Novosibirsk appears prominently — a city Epstein never visited but which is mentioned hundreds of times. NGS examined every document referencing the city to uncover how girls were sourced, transported, and who was involved.

Key Players

The U.S. Department of Justice has released another tranche of «Epstein files,» putting millions of documents in the public domain. Novosibirsk is mentioned 310 times. As with all Epstein documents, most sensitive data (names, surnames, organization names, phone numbers) are redacted, but exceptions reveal the organizers of Epstein«s scheme to bring girls to him.

The events connected to Novosibirsk unfolded between 2017 and 2019, according to U.S. DOJ materials. Documents fall into several categories: flight booking info, payment records, and personal correspondence with key figures.

The first such figure is Leslie Groff, Epstein«s personal assistant for over 20 years. She was part of his inner circle and often linked to arranging meetings, travel, and household matters. Some victims claim Groff knew what was happening and helped »schedule« their meetings with Epstein, booked flights, and paid cash. She denies the allegations and has not been charged.

The second important person in the «Novosibirsk archive» is Waldson Cotrin, Epstein«s former butler, driver, and cook at his Paris mansion for about 18 years. According to U.S. media, Cotrin was the only full-time employee at Epstein»s Paris residence and said he handled all household needs. He remained loyal to his former employer and claimed he never saw any signs of abuse of minors.

Often appearing in correspondence with Cotrin is Bella Klein, former accountant at Epstein«s New York office. She features in court documents and investigations into Epstein»s finances. Investigators were interested in her records of travel expenses, visas, and American Express payments for alleged associates and victims. Based on the «Novosibirsk archive,» Bella Klein managed the finances for this case as well.

These three people organized flights for girls from Novosibirsk to Europe, to Epstein«s Paris residence. Almost every published document mentions them together or separately.

None of Epstein«s associates personally went to Novosibirsk, according to documents. To avoid doing so, the scheme»s organizers found a local intermediary: 24-year-old Daria B. She is the key figure in supplying girls from Novosibirsk to Europe.

According to NGS, she lived in the city of Ob in 2017 when she began personal correspondence with Epstein. They maintained contact until mid-2019. An NGS source says Daria B. worked at the Hilton hotel in downtown Novosibirsk during that period and had ties to the local modeling agency «Russkiy Blesk» (Russian Shine). The agency«s director told NGS she did not know anyone by that name.

«She hasn»t worked [as a model] during my time here; I«ve been working since 2018,» the agency director replied.

Another source clarified that Daria was a model there much earlier, working in the field since 2008 and collaborating with many agencies, staying at «Russkiy Blesk» until around 2012. After 2015, Daria began posting photos from London — a sharp career rise, the source noted.

«She had very good photos. It»s extremely hard to make it as a model in London,« the source said.

Also according to NGS, Daria B. worked for a time at the Investment Development Agency of the Novosibirsk Region (now the Corporation for the Development of the Novosibirsk Region) as an assistant to the CEO. The agency neither confirmed nor denied this.

«The information you requested is personal data, so we cannot provide it,» a representative said.

At the time, the organization was headed by Alexander Zyryanov. Since summer 2024, he has been in pretrial detention on corruption charges. His trial began in July last year.

NGS could not reach Daria B. Her phone was off, and she deleted her VKontakte page. According to documents, Daria B. was in contact with Epstein from 2017 to 2019. The U.S. DOJ published many of her personal exchanges with the financier, in which she asks him to book tickets for herself and says she needs money for personal expenses.

The files show Daria B. frequently traveled to Europe. NGS counted she flew to Paris 11 times and to London at least 7 times. According to The Times, Epstein«s accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell had a house in London; she sold it in 2021 to pay legal fees.

During the preparation of this article, someone claiming to be a close friend of Daria B. contacted the editorial office. He said he has known her for over a decade and is «in touch with her 24/7.» The man claimed the information about his friend«s connection to Jeffrey Epstein is false.

«Daria does not know Jeffrey and never had such conversations with anyone. She was never involved in escorting. These are made-up nonsense and fabricated dialogues. I read everything and personally had access to her phone, and I brought her coffee at work when she supposedly had such conversations,» he stated.

According to the man, Daria did live in London but returned to Novosibirsk during the coronavirus pandemic. There, she got a job at the Corporation for the Development of the Novosibirsk Region, the source confirmed.

«She was an ordinary office worker, working with 50-year-old women as colleagues,» the man said.

Daria«s friend demanded the publications about her be removed and then deleted the correspondence.

Candidates.docx

Daria acted as a scout, searching for suitable candidates for the client. Those who passed the selection were evaluated by Epstein himself and his assistants. One published email shows a rigorous selection process. Attached was a text file called Candidates.docx, presumably containing a list of girls who could go to Europe.

«How many people can we bring to Paris this time? … She became much more polite after my little speech. She went back to Novosibirsk, and I spoke with her again today on Skype. She admitted that she is actually 19 (not 21 as stated on her CV). She said she was afraid she wouldn»t be taken seriously. I checked her passport today! I liked her, except that she lied on her resume and only told the truth when I mentioned we would be arranging a trip to Paris,« someone reported to Epstein in August 2017 (the sender»s identity is redacted).

Epstein and Daria B. likely met in January 2017. Around that time, someone sent a link to her profile on a model website. Common acquaintances introduced the late financier and the Siberian girl. Soon, Daria and Epstein began communicating personally — their relationship was not only business. For example, she would complain to the businessman about financial difficulties or troubles, and he, albeit briefly, supported her.

In 2019, Daria complained that she had run out of money to continue English lessons in London. Also, her new apartment lacked kitchen utensils and even furniture. Daria asked him to send money and noted that everything would be ready for the arrival of a certain Arina, apparently one of the girls from Novosibirsk. Epstein agreed and sent her money.

Two days earlier, Daria B. and Epstein had discussed business — she urged the client to send money for a visa for a girl named Katya. Based on the following snippet, Katya may have been a minor.

«Hi Jeffrey. When do you want Katya to arrive in London? If we get her a student visa, she»ll need documents from school. Of course, we«ll have to pay for them. I can recommend the same agent who handled my visa,» she wrote in late March 2019. Epstein replied that he had already sent the money.

By then, a warm relationship had developed between Daria and Epstein. He sent her photos, and she admired them.

«Jeffrey, you look amazing!» she wrote back.

Daria searched for candidates worldwide. In spring 2019, she told Epstein that there were many suitable girls in Cannes. Around the same time, she asked him to help pay for her friend«s surgery, but he refused.

«Medicine in Russia is good. I remember when I worked at the Hilton Hotel in Novosibirsk, many people from Europe flew here for surgery. I was surprised. I»ve lived in the UK for a year now and can say that if you need medical help, better fly to Russia. I don«t know how people survive here,» Daria complained, adding that her mother is a nurse and knows good doctors.

Sometimes Daria complained to Epstein about personal problems, like breaking up with a boyfriend because he deceived her.

Who Flew Where

Notably, Daria B. and Jeffrey Epstein communicated at least until late May 2019. By then, public attention had already focused on Epstein following the Miami Herald investigation into how he avoided severe punishment for sex crimes in the early 2000s.

The last documented personal communication between Daria and Epstein was on May 18, 2019. She planned to fly to New York in June, «like last time.» Epstein said he wasn«t sure and promised to clarify. On July 6, 2019, Epstein was arrested again in New Jersey on charges of sex trafficking of minors.

By that time, a stable transportation scheme between Novosibirsk and Paris had already been established. NGS identified at least four local women sent to Europe. Only one girl«s number was found, but she did not respond to messages.

Novosibirsk was a steady source of passengers for European trips organized by Epstein. Girls traveled economy class and spent no more than two to three days on each trip. The first documented flight was in September 2018, the last in April 2019.

Each trip was carefully arranged — Epstein«s inner circle members were involved, and they wrote to him personally about any hitches. According to documents, all passengers were Russian citizens and flew from Novosibirsk via Moscow to Paris on regular flights. Epstein personally instructed his assistants to book tickets with Aeroflot and Air France.

All flights were arranged through American Express Centurion Travel Service, an exclusive booking and concierge service. Jeffrey Epstein had a personal manager. Tickets were handed to the girls by the financier«s assistants — often Leslie Groff. Financial matters were handled by Bella Klein, and Waldson Cotrin often took care of accommodation and greeting the girls at their destination, according to documents.
