A labor migrant from Central Asia was convicted in Yakutsk for terrorism propaganda. He professes a radical form of Islam and justified the activities of terrorist organizations online. This was reported on February 3 by the press service of the FSB (Federal Security Service) of Russia for the republic.

During the investigation, the accused fully admitted his guilt and assisted the investigation. The First Eastern District Military Court found the man guilty of public calls to terrorism, its justification and propaganda, and sentenced him to five years of imprisonment in a general regime correctional colony.

At the end of January 2026, the FSB of Yakutia detained a resident of the Churapchinsky District who openly supported the activities of Ukrainian militarized associations. The offender spread calls for armed rebellion to overthrow the government on Telegram and justified the killings of Russian fighters in the Special Military Operation zone.
