Bashkortostan man arrested for murdering ex-wife, stabbing daughter
In the Chishminsky District of Bashkortostan, a local resident has been arrested on charges of murder and attempted murder. His victims, as reported by the Investigative Committee, were his ex-wife and daughter. Moreover, other children were present at the crime scene at the time.
The tragedy occurred in the village of Ignatovka. There, the man«s ex-wife lived with their four daughters — three of whom, as investigators noted, are minors.
«The suspect came to settle disputes due to regularly occurring domestic conflicts between them. During the conversation, another quarrel broke out, during which the man inflicted knife wounds on the woman»s neck and arm, and also stabbed his eldest daughter, who tried to protect her mother. After the deed, the accused fled,« reported the press service of the Investigative Committee of Bashkortostan.
The eldest daughter is 19 years old. She managed to call an ambulance, medical workers saved her life, but the mother died. The man was soon detained by operatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He was at an acquaintance«s place in the Davlekanovsky District. He has been charged and taken into custody for the duration of the investigation into all circumstances of the crime.
«Initial investigative actions have been carried out with the accused, a set of forensic examinations has been appointed, and the collection and securing of the evidence base for the case continues,» investigators said.
