Angelica Tartanova recalls attack after near-fatal beating
Model Angelica Tartanova does not remember who inflicted such injuries on her.
After two months since the brutal attack, 33-year-old photo model Angelica Tartanova is continuing to recover. The woman found the strength and after being discharged from the hospital, personally came to the studio of the program Let Them Talk, which is scheduled to air on January 26 on Channel One. The Moscow woman beaten half to death for the first time publicly spoke about her condition and memories. Fragments from the broadcast are provided by the publication StarHit.

«[I»m] better, not as much as I«d like, of course. Well, it shows on my face,» Angelica answered when asked about her well-being. She is already moving around, but with difficulty, and she is still plagued by periodic headaches.
According to media reports, the model was planning to leave Dmitry, which could have caused an outburst of anger.

The 41-year-old businessman was often jealous of Angelica, say her friends and relatives.
«Just, well, a piece of familiar people, nothing more,» Angelica says about her memory.

However, the past — for example, her modeling career — Angelica remembers. But about the relationship with a man named Dmitry, only vague fragments remain in her memory.
After the beating and operation, Angelica forgot the details of that evening.
He is the one whom both the investigation and Angelica«s relatives consider guilty of beating the model. The romance of 41-year-old Dmitry Kuzmin with the woman lasted about half a year, and friends of the ex-model previously spoke about his excessive jealousy. According to the Telegram channel Baza, on that fateful evening, the model was planning to leave her lover — half-packed suitcases were left in the room.
Angelica and her older sister Anastasia want the businessman to be imprisoned.
A doctor present in the studio explained the severity of her condition. Angelica had not just a subdural hematoma (a dangerous accumulation of blood in the brain. — Ed.), but also damage to the brain tissue itself in the temporal and parietal lobes. Trepanation of the skull was vitally necessary. The damage affected Wernicke«s area, responsible for understanding speech, so after the operation, the crippled Moscow woman for some time only heard sounds but could not distinguish words.

The medic also categorically rejected the version of an accidental fall, pointing out that such injuries arise from a blow with a blunt hard object.
Despite progress in treatment, Angelica is still plagued by pain.
Angelica«s sister Anastasia also emphasized this discrepancy.
Angelica remembers Dmitry himself, but not what happened.
«I have received his [Dmitry»s] testimony. He says that she simply fell in the bathroom. Well, how could she fall like that? Her whole head is smashed!« the sister exclaims.
According to relatives, it was not Dmitry who called the ambulance, but the concierge in the entrance of the house where Angelica managed to go out on her own.
However, according to doctors« records, Angelica was admitted to the hospital still conscious. From her words, it was recorded that she was beaten by a »known person.« This is a general formulation that indicates the victim knows her offender.
When asked if she considers Dmitry guilty, Angelica answered briefly: «Yes.» She confirmed that she received no help from him.
«Now he is hiding, not talking to anyone and no help at all, nothing. For me, it»s just a blow,« shares Angelica Tartanova.
The former model also wants her ex-boyfriend to be imprisoned.
«I would like him to be imprisoned. To help, of course. First of all. But I feel, probably, he won»t help at all in any way.«
«And if he helped, would you forgive him?» asked the host.
«No,» answered the model.
Recall that 33-year-old model Angelica Tartanova disappeared at the end of November. After almost two weeks, on December 9, she was found in a hospital. Doctors performed trepanation of the skull, and after some time, the Moscow woman regained consciousness.
On suspicion of beating the model, 41-year-old businessman Dmitry Kuzmin was detained. MSK1.RU found out that his business activity is related to road construction and parking systems. At the end of 2024, the revenue of his company LLC «MSS» was 160 million rubles (approximately $1.8 million at current rates). In the studio of the program Let Them Talk, even higher figures were named: according to an invited guest, Dmitry«s company»s turnover allegedly amounts to 500–600 million rubles (approximately $5.6–6.7 million). At the same time, only about 10 people work in the company. The invited guest expressed the version that Dmitry is «laundering» money.
According to some reports, after the attack, Angelica«s phone was with Kuzmin for some time, and he corresponded with relatives on her behalf.
The court chose for Dmitry a preventive measure in the form of house arrest under the article on intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm. The businessman«s father, living in another region, told MSK1.RU that he is aware of the case but does not maintain close communication with his son.
Angelica Tartanova met the New Year in the hospital. Now her relatives are collecting funds for rehabilitation.
