A resident of Ryazan has been detained on suspicion of intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm that negligently caused the death of a pensioner. A criminal case has been initiated under the relevant article, according to the regional department of the Investigative Committee (СК).
According to the investigation, on January 21, the suspect visited his 70-year-old acquaintance, they drank and quarreled. The man knocked the pensioner to the floor and hit him multiple times on various parts of the body with his hands and feet.
The elderly homeowner died from his injuries at the scene.
Currently, the 49-year-old suspect is in custody.
Investigators continue to establish the circumstances of the incident and gather evidence.
