Orenburg Regional Court did not change the preventive measure for the 21-year-old resident of Buzuluk, who is accused of the brutal murder of his cohabitant«s one-and-a-half-year-old child (while the man also has two young children dependent on him).

Recall that, as reported 56.RU, on January 6, a previously convicted intoxicated resident of Buzuluk was in his apartment on Gaya Street. His cohabitant, the child«s mother, was also drunk and asleep at the time of the tragedy. According to the investigation, the man was irritated by the child»s crying and beat him. Then he placed him in the bathtub and held him until he stopped showing signs of life.

In the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia (SKR) reported that the detainee had already fully admitted guilt (the case is under the control of Alexander Bastrykin), and he was placed in a pre-trial detention center until March 6.

But the man«s lawyer appealed the preventive measure. Today in court, the accused (who attended the hearing via video conference) said he was innocent and asked for house arrest, but he was still kept in custody.
