In 2014–2016, well-known Hollywood publicist Peggy Segal told Epstein about Abramovich. The first letter is dated January 2014, in which she recounted her flight on collector Peter Brant«s private jet and return from St. Barthélemy (a French-speaking island in the Caribbean). In passing, she mentions that during the New Year holidays she managed to sneak into a lunch on the 300-foot vessel »Luna« owned by Dasha and Roman Abramovich. Except that the couple celebrated New Year in frosty Moscow, not at a party with them.

Epstein writes to Sergei Belyakov about business opportunities and a blackmail case in New York.

«Roman and Ronald (referring to American actor Ronald Perlman — Editor«s note) have had equally cool competing parties for the last three years, creating social stress… that»s why Page Six mistakenly thought that the St. Barth«s parties ended this year,» she wrote.

Roman Abramovich«s name appears again in connection with several parties, and later in a letter about an offer to purchase a private Boeing jet, which supposedly formerly belonged to him (according to the sender). However, later in one of the letters, Epstein says he never met the billionaire — only his wife looked at his house.
In the same 2014 letter about the New Year«s parties in St. Barthélemy, former husband of Naomi Campbell, businessman Vladislav Doronin, is mentioned. The financier plans a meeting with him in 2009 at a party in Cairo and asks for advice on obtaining a Russian visa. Doronin»s assistant sends Epstein the website of Vladislav«s company, which he previously owned — Capital Group. It built the »City of Capitals« and »OKO« skyscrapers in Moscow-City.
MSK1.RU contacted Vladislav Doronin through his company to request comment on these letters.
«Mr. Doronin is not a co-owner of Capital Group, is not associated with the activities of the holding, and has not participated in new investment projects or operational activities of the holding since 2014,» the company said.
Epstein apparently followed the company and discussed its deals with Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem (a businessman from the UAE). In one letter, commenting on a deal by Sberbank to sell space in the «City of Capitals» complex, he notes that Doronin is compared to Trump.
The financier also communicated with Sergei Belyakov, who is described as the former chairman of the board of a well-known Russian forum.
«I enjoyed our brief meeting. If I can help with anything, let me know. I hope to see you in New York. If you think it reasonable, I will ask a staff member to attend your conference. Of course, I will pay the usual fees. I know it«s difficult now, but I see interesting opportunities. I saw that your girlfriend»s boss was forced to cancel the meeting. How silly,» Epstein wrote to him.
A year later, in 2015, he asked Belyakov to help find out about a certain girl from Moscow. Epstein wrote that she was blackmailing businessmen in New York.
«How are you? Do me a favor. There is a Russian girl from Moscow. She is trying to blackmail a group of influential businessmen in New York, it«s bad for all business participants. She arrived last Saturday and is staying at the Four Seasons. Any ideas?» Epstein recounted.
In 2016, Sergei Belyakov told the financier that he had started working at the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and was looking for opportunities to attract investments in Russian projects. He asked Epstein«s opinion on a new payment system and whether it would be interesting for investment.
Also in the files are letters to Epstein from former Israeli Prime Minister and general of the local armed forces Ehud Barak, who reported that during a forum in 2015, besides Sergei (whose surname he did not mention), he briefly met Alexei Kudrin, Andrei Kostin (VTB), and German Gref (Sberbank). He described as good his meetings with Central Bank head Elvira Nabiullina and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
Epstein himself communicated not only with businessmen and politicians. He also planned a meeting with poker player Vladimir Geshkenbein. In January 2015, he received a letter with a video about the player.
«I attach a video from a smart young man, Vladimir Geshkenbein, a Jew of Russian origin, raised in Switzerland. He applied mathematical concepts to poker and achieved world champion level. He no longer participates in poker competitions but wants to apply his mind and logic to one of your projects, where quick thinking, reasoning, and logic are needed,» said the author, whose name is redacted.
Later, Geshkenbein got in touch, asking whether his two-minute video had been received. Epstein tried to schedule a meeting, since the poker player was in Zurich (Switzerland) and he was in Paris. Also in one letter from 2012, it was said that the American financier would like to meet model Irina Shayk, but whether that happened is unknown.
Earlier we reported that politician Mikhail Prokhorov also appeared in the Epstein files.
In addition, the documents contained mentions of members of European royal families. Read more about who else can be found there. We also wrote about the owner of a Russian modeling agency, who was mentioned in the files, allegedly supplying girls for sex parties.
