Tubing from a hill in one of the residential districts of Vladivostok ended with the death of a child. The prosecutor«s office of Primorsky Krai is already conducting an inspection into the tragic incident.
As reported by the press service of the supervisory authority, on January 31, a five-year-old boy was seriously injured while tubing from a hill in the area of Karyernaya Street. The Investigative Committee of Primorsky Krai clarified that the child collided with a tree during the descent.
According to preliminary data, the severe head injury was incompatible with life — the child died in the ambulance without regaining consciousness.

«The supervisory authority will establish all the circumstances of what happened and assess compliance with legislation on the protection of children«s life and health, as well as ensuring safe conditions for their leisure,» noted the regional prosecutor»s office.
A criminal case has been initiated over the death of the minor under Part 1 of Article 109 of the Russian Criminal Code (causing death by negligence). The progress and results of the investigation are under special control of the regional prosecutor«s office.
The department emphasized that during the comprehensive inspection, special attention will be paid to the prevention of child injuries. Also, prosecutors will assess whether the children«s slide on Karyernaya Street met safety requirements for play, so that a similar tragedy does not recur.
