Barnaul fuel queues shorten, drivers report

Residents of Barnaul in city community groups report that the queue situation at gas stations is gradually improving. While just a few days ago wait times stretched for several hours, now at some stations drivers are refueling with almost no queues, though judging by comments, this is not the case everywhere.

For instance, one resident noted in comments that at a gas station on Kalinin Avenue he managed to refuel in less than half an hour. Another user said that at yet another station there were no queues at all:

— I filled up this afternoon, there were no cars at all, — he noted in comments.

Some drivers note that the absence of multi-hour queues at gas stations came as a real surprise:

— We filled up calmly today. We were in shock, and the woman in front of us started dancing with joy, — wrote one resident.

However, this picture is not seen everywhere:

— At night it’s empty, but during the day it’s the same as before, — shared another resident.

Another Barnaul resident reported that at night he stood in line at a gas station on Gogol Street for about two and a half hours.

At the same time, some residents believe the fuel problem is not yet resolved. According to one subscriber of city public pages, most gas stations in the city are still not working or simply have no gasoline, and the harvest campaign lies ahead, which could complicate the situation due to constant refueling of agricultural machinery.

As reported earlier, Barnaul authorities had discussed the possibility of refueling vehicles on a schedule based on odd and even license plate numbers. Slightly earlier, such a measure was introduced in Rubtsovsk. As of July 16, the fuel situation remained tense, with multi-hour queues persisting.
