The Otus team, which films tornadoes using drones, released a magical video. In it, a vortex spins not over land but over a lake, resembling a huge open portal to another world. According to the researchers, they captured this natural phenomenon in Canada near the small village of Tulliby Lake (Canada). To get the footage, the team had to work hard. They drove 18 hours by car and stayed overnight near the location to get the best shots.
— Interesting fact: this was our longest tornado flight to date. I held the drone on its side to get the best connection, — shared the team«s pilot.
From the ground, such beauty is impossible to see, as the double rainbow appears due to the abundance of droplets in the tornado funnel, which refract light. Internet users cannot contain their surprise and delight. Although the researchers have been filming tornadoes for years and publish all videos in their blog, their subscribers still cannot fully believe that such beauty is not the work of artificial intelligence.
