Siberian Refinery Repairs Postponed to Fall Due to High Fuel Demand

Scheduled repairs at oil refineries in Siberia have been postponed to fall 2026. The decision was made to maintain sufficient fuel volumes on the Russian market during the summer, according to a report by the Bank of Russia, «Regional Economy.»
«Scheduled repairs at Siberian refineries have been postponed to a later period — fall 2026, to ensure sufficient supply of petroleum products on the Russian market,» the document states.
The central bank added that large Siberian refineries are currently operating at full capacity due to high fuel demand and are processing record volumes of feedstock.

The postponement of repairs at the Omsk Refinery was discussed even before the attack. In 2025, Gazprom Neft CEO Alexander Dyukov told Interfax that the start of scheduled work had been postponed amid the situation on the fuel market.
