In late January, the U.S. Department of Justice made public over three million pages of materials related to the case of financier Jeffrey Epstein. These documents repeatedly mention Russian cities, including Rostov-on-Don.
Rostov appears in the records over a hundred times, primarily in the context of flights. However, the documents also contain curious correspondence: Epstein allegedly emailed a YouTube link to an anonymous recipient. In response, that person sent another link to the same video hosting site with the caption: «This is also Rostov during FIFA.» Both videos are currently unavailable. The first video was removed without reason given, and the second — «for violating YouTube»s policies on nudity and sexual content.«
