From February 5 to 7, the Kola Peninsula will be under the influence of cyclonic activity in the Barents Sea. This was reported by the Murmansk Hydrometeorological Service (UGMS).
Today, February 5, the Arctic region is expected to have partly cloudy weather. Light, locally moderate snow. Wind west, northwest moderate, in the north of the region strong. Air temperature −5...−10°C (23...14°F), locally down to −15°C (5°F), icy roads.
As of January 31, the ice thickness on rivers, lakes, and reservoirs in the Murmansk region is 27–58 cm (10.6–22.8 in).
