Tomsk clears 9,000 tons of snow in three days

Over the past days, «Tomsk SAKH» has removed 9,091 tons of snow from Tomsk«s streets, according to the mayor»s press service.
«While the frost has given us a break, we have intensified snow removal work. Moreover, a snowfall over the weekend prompted the immediate deployment of plow-sweeper machines to clear all routes. We will now continue to remove snow and carry out all winter maintenance tasks on the city»s main streets,« said Yevgeny Dyachenko, deputy director of the municipal budgetary institution »Tomsk SAKH«.
In the last three days, enterprise specialists have cleared 9,091 tons of snow from dozens of streets, including Govorova, Smirnova, Yakovleva, Krasnoarmeyskaya, Oktyabrskaya, Kartashova, Yelizarovykh, Kirova, Lenina, Plekhanova, Nakhanovicha, and Sportivny.
Main street cleanup is handled by «Tomsk SAKH». Pedestrian crossings and stops are manually cleaned by «Basis+». Parks and squares fall under «Zelenstroy». Secondary roads and sidewalks are cleared by contractors of district administrations. Yards and adjacent areas are maintained by management company workers, who set the schedule and frequency for snow removal on their properties.
If snow removal quality is unsatisfactory, residents can call the responsible parties at the city operational duty service number 005. Requests will be accepted and added to the work plan.
