The start of the work week will test residents of Samara Region, according to the Volga Hydrometeorological Service.
On Monday, February 2, temperatures will range from -13°C (9°F) to -8°C (18°F), with some areas dropping to -15°C (5°F). Light snow is expected, and the western part may see hazardous ice and frost buildup.
Overnight into Tuesday, February 3, conditions will worsen with temperatures plunging to -20°C (-4°F), locally to -25°C (-13°F). Daytime highs will be between -10°C (14°F) and -5°C (23°F), though some spots could hit -15°C (5°F). Snow drifts are anticipated on roads.
The situation could deteriorate further overnight into Wednesday, February 4, with nighttime lows reaching -26°C (-15°F). Daytime temperatures will only rise to -21°C (-6°F) to -16°C (3°F).
