Earlier, Ural weather forecasters reported an upcoming warming in Yekaterinburg. The details of the forecast were revealed by the region«s chief meteorologist, Galina Sheporenko:

“The pocket of cold air that arrived after the front will move into Siberia. The weather in Sverdlovsk Region will soften by 3–6 degrees in the coming days, not only due to the arrival of warmer air, but also because of moderate (with gusts) wind, which improves mixing in the surface atmospheric layer and prevents the formation of significant surface temperature inversions. Precipitation on February 6–7 will be light; snow is likely on February 8 as warmer, moist air is advected from southern regions of European Russia.”
