The Sverdlovsk branch of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS) issued a storm warning — on February 5, strong winds with gusts up to 18 meters per second are expected in the Urals.

It is better to refrain from working at heights and outdoors, and to limit the use of pyrotechnics.

If you are outside during the wind, do not hide behind the walls of buildings, as slate or snow may fall from balconies and roofs. It is better to leave your car in a covered parking lot; do not park under trees or billboards.

If you need help, call the fire and rescue service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia at 101 or 112.

Meanwhile, the Sverdlovsk State Traffic Safety Inspectorate (GIBDD) asked drivers to avoid long trips due to heavy snowfall. Read important instructions on how to drive safely in snow and ice.
