Sochi under storm warning with heavy rain and snow forecast

Meteorologists in Sochi have extended the storm warning. According to forecasts, on the morning and afternoon of February 3, heavy rain is expected in places across Sochi and Sirius. In the foothills and low mountains in the afternoon, wet snow, heavy in places, with accumulation on wires and trees. In the evening, icy conditions are expected on the roads. During the day, sea agitation of 4 points, wave heights can reach 1.3-1.5 m (4.3-4.9 ft).

All services are operating in enhanced mode. The situation is being monitored by the city«s operational headquarters.

Residents and visitors of the resort are advised to exercise caution. Driving in cars not equipped with winter tires is not recommended. If travel to the mountain cluster is necessary, it is better to prefer public transport. In case of an emergency, call number 112.
