According to the Murmansk Hydrometeorological Service (FGBU Murmanskoye UGMS), a snowstorm is forecast for the far north of Murmansk Region tomorrow, February 5.

The Murmansk Emergency Ministry (EMERCOM) recommends:

during the bad weather, refrain from going out into nature, and if possible, limit time spent outdoors;

  • when going outside, dress warmly, preferring multiple layers;

  • do not overload electrical networks, do not use faulty electrical appliances;

  • at home, follow safety rules when using gas equipment;

  • follow fire safety rules at home, especially when using stove heating, and if a fire is detected, call 101 or 112 immediately;

  • tourists should inform the EMERCOM operational duty shift about their route by calling +7 (8152) 47-69-60;

  • in case of incidents and emergencies, call 112.
