In Saratov, snow mixed with de-icing agents is being transported to the banks of the Volga River. This was noted by public activist Pavel Galaktionov. A corresponding post appeared in the Telegram channel «Govorit Saratov».
The resident says snow from city streets is being dumped in a parking lot in the settlement of Zaton near the Volga — within the coastal zone of the Volgograd Reservoir. When the snow melts, the dirt and de-icing agents flow into the water near a new beach.
The activist also clarified that the administration of the Volzhsky district received permission for temporary snow storage at this location.
