According to the forecast from the Rostov Hydrometeorological Center, no heavy snowfall is expected in Rostov Oblast on February 3. This will give the region a respite after yesterday«s blizzard.
In Rostov-on-Don, there will be practically no precipitation during the day, but black ice and snowdrifts will persist on the roads. The air temperature during the day will be -8…-10°C (14…18°F) with winds of 7–12 meters per second. At night, it will cool down to -18…-20°C (-0.4…-4°F).
Across the oblast, light to moderate snow is expected. In the extreme southern districts, rain and wet snow are possible, which will stick to power lines and trees. On highways, black ice and snowdrifts are also anticipated. The daytime temperature across the region will drop to -11…-16°C (12…3°F), and in the southern half, it will be -5…-10°C (23…14°F). Winds will blow at speeds of 7–12 meters per second.
