According to the Ryazan Center for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring (Ryazan TsGMS), abnormally cold weather continues in the region.
On the night of February 3, thermometers in some areas of the region will drop to -30…-25°C (-22…-13°F). In Ryazan itself, -28…-26°C (-18…-15°F) is expected. During the day on February 3, temperatures will remain extremely low: in the region, -21…-16°C (-6…3°F) is forecast, and in the regional center — -18…-16°C (0…3°F). The weather will be cloudy, with practically no precipitation forecast. Due to previously fallen precipitation, black ice will persist on roads and sidewalks. Wind south-westerly, 2-7 m/s.
On the night of February 4, the frost will weaken slightly but remain significant: in the region down to -27…-22°C (-17…-8°F), in Ryazan — -24…-22°C (-11…-8°F). During the day on Sunday, temperatures will rise to -17…-12°C (1…10°F) across the region and to -15…-13°C (5…9°F) in the city. No precipitation is expected, and black ice will persist. Wind westerly, 2-7 m/s.
Earlier, the Ryazan administration reported whether schoolchildren need to attend classes in such frost.
