Rostov-on-Don residents report cold apartments as temperatures drop

Residents of the central districts, Western and Northern residential areas of Rostov-on-Don have reported low temperatures in their apartments in recent days.

On social networks and in messengers, city residents are sharing readings:

According to sanitary standards, the temperature in residential premises should not drop below 18 degrees Celsius (64°F), and in corner rooms below 20 degrees Celsius (68°F).

Antonina Pshenichnaya, the Minister of Housing and Communal Services of the Rostov Region, noted in her Telegram channel that she sees complaints from residents of the center and the Western residential area. She instructed management organizations, homeowners« associations (HOAs), and housing cooperatives to strengthen control over the parameters of the heat carrier at the inlet to buildings and to promptly interact with resource-supplying companies.

Management companies also need to inspect apartments and draw up reports on poor-quality heat supply. This will allow residents to get a recalculation of their payments.
