Rain and Black Ice Expected in Rostov Region January 27

According to the Rostov Hydrometeorological Center, a sharp warming is approaching the region on January 27. The temperature will remain negative during the day, but weather conditions will begin to change overnight.
Cloudy weather with clear spells is expected in Rostov-on-Don. In the afternoon and evening, there may be light precipitation in the form of snow and sleet, turning into freezing rain. Black ice is likely by evening, with icy conditions on the roads.
The wind will blow from the east and southeast at 8–13 meters per second, with daytime gusts up to 15–18 m/s. The air temperature during the day will range from -7 to -9°C (19 to 16°F), and will remain at the same level at night.
Across the region, cloudiness with clear spells is forecast. During the day, snow will pass in some areas, with sleet and freezing rain in the south. Black ice is possible in the south during the day and evening. Icy conditions and snowdrifts are expected on the roads.
Wind speed in the region will reach 8–13 m/s, with gusts in some areas increasing up to 20 m/s. Daytime temperatures will range from -10 to -15°C (14 to 5°F), up to -6°C (21°F) in the south. At night, thermometers will show -5...-10°C (23 to 14°F), dropping to -15°C (5°F) during clear spells, and down to -18°C (-0.4°F) in the far northern districts.
