Novosibirsk Region temperature swings forecast: -36°C to -11°C

In Novosibirsk Region, on the night of January 27, a cold snap is forecast to bring temperatures down to -28…-23°C (-18…-9°F), with local areas seeing -22…-17°C (-8…1°F). In the northwest, frosts could reach -36°C (-33°F). During the day, temperatures will be -25…-20°C (-13…-4°F), and in the southeast -18…-13°C (0…9°F).

The region will be partly cloudy, with light snow in some areas and icy patches on roads.

On the night of January 28, in Novosibirsk, the temperature will drop to -27…-25°C (-17…-13°F), and during the day the air will warm up to -20…-18°C (-4…0°F). The wind will shift to south-easterly with speeds of 2–7 meters per second, and there will be mostly no precipitation.

In Novosibirsk Region, on the night of January 28, temperatures will be -30…-25°C (-22…-13°F), with local frosts down to -36°C (-33°F). During the day, temperatures will be -20…-15°C (-4…5°F), locally down to -25°C (-13°F). The region will be mostly dry.
