Novosibirsk forecasters predict temperature swings, no early spring

The weather in Novosibirsk will shift from winter to spring processes by the end of February. This was reported by the West Siberian Hydrometeorological Service. However, a very early arrival of spring should not be expected.

«The first ten days do not determine that February will ultimately be warm. There will be fluctuations, waves of cold and warmth, but not of the same scale as in January. Gradually, by the end of the month, we will enter spring processes,» explained Natalya Kichanova, head of the weather forecast department at the West Siberian Hydrometeorological Service.

A thaw with temperatures up to zero and above is possible on February 6–7, but then another cold wave will arrive.

Novosibirsk forecasters also provided a forecast for the first ten days of February.
