Kuzbass Weather: Sun or Frost in Late January?
The extreme frosts that came to Kuzbass from the Arctic have given way to a long-awaited slight warming. The mercury is gradually rising daily, but have the trials with low temperatures truly ended for the region«s residents? Spring-like warming will come, but... not for long
According to the forecast from Yandex, until the end of January, the temperature outside will continue to rise. On average, nighttime readings will range from -26°C (-15°F) to -28°C (-18°F), and daytime from -18°C (0°F) to -22°C (-8°F).
In the next two weeks, heavy snowfalls like those that covered the region at the beginning of the month are not expected. Light precipitation may fall on the 21st, 22nd, 24th, 25th, 28th, and 31st.
Sunny weather will be almost nonexistent; the end of the month will pass with overcast or variable cloudiness.
However, February will begin in Kuzbass with spring-like warmth. The mercury will jump to -9°C (16°F) during the day and -11°C (12°F) at night. Snowy days in the second month of winter are almost not forecast. But the sun will delight Kuzbass residents much more often.
Overall, the site sees the month as warm — with temperatures from -10°C (14°F) to -16°C (3°F) during the day and -15°C (5°F) to -20°C (-4°F) at night.
Will snowfalls once again hit the region?
The service Gismeteo also forecasts a gradual increase in temperatures at the end of January. If now the thermometer during the day on average across the region shows -20°C (-4°F) to -27°C (-17°F), then by the beginning of the next month: -11°C (12°F) to -18°C (0°F).
However, the site says that many snowy days in January and February should be expected. Heavy snowfalls may come to the region on January 30 and 31, and then on February 5, 6, and 7.
Also, the service forecasts much less sunny weather in the second month of winter. Outdoor temperatures, according to its data, will range from -9°C (16°F) to -17°C (1°F) during the day and -24°C (-11°F) to -11°C (12°F) at night.
There will be little warmth
The service NGS42.RU notes that even a frost of -20°C (-4°F) may feel harsh, as humidity on average will be from 80 to 83%.
At the same time, the site does not forecast a sharp warming. Until the end of the month, the temperature will vary around -20°C (-4°F) during the day and -26°C (-15°F) at night.
The south wind will be quiet and will bring light snow. Variable cloudiness is expected only on the last weekend.
