Kilometer-long queues at Sochi ski resorts after snow

In Sochi«s mountain cluster, kilometer-long queues have formed for the lifts. Skiers and snowboarders are eager to enjoy the fresh powder while the weather is good, reports the Telegram channel »Typical Sochi«.

At Rosa Peak (2,320 m), the temperature today is -4°C (25°F), partly cloudy, wind W, 3 m/s, visibility 50 km. At Rosa-1600, +3°C (37°F), visibility 20 km. In Rosa Valley (560 m), +2°C (36°F), light cloud, visibility 10 km. Total length of open trails today: 88 km. Daytime skiing from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

North slope trails: B-52, Plateau, Chalet, Juventa, Training slope, Children«s slope, Triton (below 1,600 m), Triton (above 1,600 m).

From 9:30: Snake, Meeting, Vancouver, Turin, Boomerang, Nagano, Chamonix, Ozernaya, Rosa Blade (above 1,170 m), Rosa Star (above 1,170 m), Cascade (above 1,600 m).

From 10:30: Cascade (below 1,600 m), Virazh MOS (above 1,600 m).

The Krasnaya Polyana resort opened all 7 km of the Vostochnaya trail in the morning, as well as: Vostochnaya (2,050–1,500 m), Vostochnaya (from 1,500 m to 1,370 m), Vostochny Express, Freeride.

A storm warning for avalanche danger remains in effect in the Sochi mountains.
