Heavy Snowstorm Prompts Travel Warning for Rostov Region Drivers

The Main Directorate of Russia«s Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) for Rostov Oblast is asking drivers not to use the region»s roads. A storm warning has been issued. Very heavy snow is expected from 6–8 p.m. until the end of the day on 2 February, as well as overnight and in the morning on 3 February.

«Do not drive personal vehicles on the roads of the region, do not park cars under trees or near advertising structures, observe personal safety rules, and in the event of an emergency, call 101 or 112,» EMERCOM warns.

Earlier, Rostov was paralyzed by level-10 traffic jams, and drivers were warned about poor visibility on the roads.
