The severe frosts in the Krasnodar region are coming to an end — ahead lies a sharp warming and almost spring-like weather. The last night with temperatures below -10 °C (14 °F) is already behind us.
On Thursday, no significant precipitation, with nighttime temperatures of -5 to -7 °C (23 to 19 °F), daytime temperatures of -1 to +1 °C (30 to 34 °F). The first signs of warming will be felt by residents of the region starting from Friday, January 23.
By the end of the week, warming in the south will reach its peak, and thermometers in Kuban will climb to +3 to +8 °C (37 to 46 °F), according to Phobos weather service. Along with the warmth, rain will come to the region.
However, this is just the beginning. The main temperature surge is expected from Tuesday to Friday next week — from January 27 to 30. During this period, Kuban will be in the warm sector of a southern cyclone, which will move towards central Russia.
According to forecasters, the region can expect real spring: daytime temperatures may rise to +15 °C (59 °F). The snow cover, they said, will quickly disappear and is not expected to return until at least the beginning of February.
