Frosts to Persist in Tula Region Until February 6

In Tula Region, the anomalous cold spell is not expected to end until at least Friday, February 6. Residents were warned about this by forecasters from the Tula Center for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring.
Air temperatures in the region will fall more than 7 degrees below the climatic norm. For February, the climatic norm is -6.7°C (20°F).
Temperatures will be lowest at night. From Thursday to Friday, lows of -22°C (-8°F) are expected. Daytime highs will reach -12°C (10°F) on Friday and -15°C (5°F) on Thursday.
The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) for Tula Region reminds residents to follow safety rules. Do not overload the electrical grid by using many electric heaters. If you use a stove, ensure the equipment is in good working order.
If possible, limit time outdoors or stay home to avoid frostbite.
