Forecasters warn of severe cold in Nizhny Novgorod this weekend
Forecasters from the Upper Volga department expect temperatures to drop below -20°C (-4°F) in Nizhny Novgorod.
The promised cold snap and real frosts have come to Nizhny Novgorod. In the coming days, such weather will persist outside, and before going out, it«s worth dressing warmer. Information on what the weather will be like on the weekend is reported on the website of the Federal State Budgetary Institution »Upper Volga Department for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring« (FGBU »Verkhne-Volzhskoye UGMS«).
On the night to Saturday, January 24, the thermometer will drop to −22 degrees Celsius (−8 degrees Fahrenheit), and during the day to −18 degrees Celsius (0 degrees Fahrenheit). For the most part, there will be no precipitation, but in the morning, there may be brief snowfall.
The same weather is expected on Sunday, January 25. The air temperature will vary from −23 degrees Celsius (−9 degrees Fahrenheit) to −18 degrees Celsius (0 degrees Fahrenheit). Forecasters do not promise precipitation, and in the sky, there may even be sun at times.
