Emergency Ministry Urges Drivers to Avoid Roads Due to Snow

The Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) for the Rostov region has appealed to motorists to refrain from traveling on the region«s roads. The storm warning is due to very heavy snow, which is forecast from 6 to 8 p.m. on February 2 and will continue through the night and morning of February 3.
«Do not drive personal vehicles on the region»s roads, do not park cars under trees or near advertising structures, follow personal safety rules, and in case of an emergency, call 101 or 112,« the department warned.
Earlier, traffic jams with an intensity of 10 points were recorded in Rostov-on-Don, and drivers were warned of significantly reduced visibility on the roads.
