Central Russia to See Warming, Then Frosts

«In Moscow, daytime temperatures today and tomorrow will be only −12 to −14 °C (10 to 7 °F), which is on average 10 °C (18 °F) below normal. On Saturday, accompanied by light snowfall, the cold anomaly will decrease: thermometers will show −8 °C (18 °F), and on Sunday–Monday they will again creep downward,» experts said.

According to data from the Pogoda 76.RU service and the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, the following weather is expected in the region:
- 6 February: night −19 °C (−2 °F), cloudy without precipitation; day −15 °C (5 °F), light snowfall towards evening.
- 7 February: night −16 °C (3 °F), light snow; day −13 °C (9 °F), precipitation continues throughout the day.
- 8 February: night −14 °C (7 °F), light snowfall; day −15 °C (5 °F), overcast, no precipitation.
- 9 February: night temperatures drop to −18 °C (0 °F), no precipitation; day −11 °C (12 °F), possible brief light snow.
- 10 February: night −15 °C (5 °F), occasional light snowfall; day warms to −9 °C (16 °F), brief precipitation continues.
