On the afternoon of February 1, a sharp deterioration in weather conditions is expected in Yaroslavl Region. Regional authorities have disseminated an emergency warning to residents.
The official message states: «Intensification of the north-eastern wind with gusts of 12-17 m/s, snow, blizzard, deterioration of visibility in precipitation to 300-800 m, and on roads in some places, icy conditions and snowpack are expected in parts of Yaroslavl Region.»
Due to strong winds, residents of Yaroslavl are advised to check the draft in smoke and ventilation channels when using gas.
