Arkhangelsk Region Weather: Sharp Warming Forecast

Anomalous frosts in the Arkhangelsk region have already been endured by northerners, although in some places the cold still hasn«t let go: at night in certain areas temperatures will drop to -30°C (-22°F). And during the day it will sharply warm up. Meteorologists from the Northern Administration for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring (Severnoye UGMS) reported on the weather for February 4.

The region will be cloudy with clear spells. Snow is expected in most areas, with icy frost deposits in places. Wind northwest, 2-7 m/s, daytime gusts up to 12 m/s in places.

Temperatures at night: -18, -23°C (-0.4 to -9.4°F), in places in the eastern half of the region down to -30°C (-22°F), in the western half down to -13°C (8.6°F); daytime -4, -9°C (24.8 to 15.8°F), in places down to -19°C (-2.2°F).
