Anomalous frosts persist in Ryazan Oblast. According to the regional TsGMS (Center for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring), thermometers will drop to -30°C (-22°F) on Wednesday, 4 February. During the day, temperatures may range from -20°C to -25°C (-4°F to -13°F).
It may feel colder outside due to a westerly wind. Gusts could reach seven meters per second (about 15.7 mph). This is not very strong, but it is noticeable in the frost.
Black ice will form on the roads, so it is recommended to temporarily avoid using private vehicles.
Even the Hydrometeorological Center calls the temperature anomalously cold. According to forecasters, thermometers in Ryazan Oblast are more than 7°C (12.6°F) below the climatic norm.
