Yekaterinburg Schools Move to Remote Learning for USE Practice

In Yekaterinburg on Tuesday, January 27, some schoolchildren will be switched to remote learning. The reason is that educational institutions in the city will conduct a regional training session for the Unified State Exam (USE) in mathematics. This information was disseminated in school communities.
«Due to this, students in grades 1–10 are temporarily studying using distance learning technologies,» according to a message from one of the city«s gymnasiums.
The city«s department of education confirmed the switch to remote learning for children and clarified that this will be conducted in all institutions where USE training is scheduled. And that is 41 schools.
Previously, remote learning was introduced in Yekaterinburg schools due to severe frosts — the temperature in the city dropped below -30 degrees Celsius (-22°F), and also due to a rise in illness: during that period, health officials assessed the situation as predictable. According to them, it was related to children returning to groups after autumn holidays, as well as seasonal activity of pathogens.
