Yaroslavl Passengers Complain of Delayed Buses
Residents of Yaroslavl have complained about delayed buses. According to readers of 76.RU, they have recently had to freeze at stops for more than half an hour waiting for public transport.
Polina, a Yaroslavl resident, said that on the evening of 30 January she could not get bus No. 13 «Ulitsa Suzdalskaya — Mashpribor» at the «Oktyabrskaya Ploshchad» stop for 40 minutes.
«I left the office with a colleague around 7 p.m. on Friday. In the end, she left, and I stood at the stop for 43 minutes. On warm sunny days, waiting for the No. 13 bus, although annoying, does not cause physical pain from -20°C (-4°F) frost. Excuse me, they keep raising fares, but the problem with this route has persisted since the days of battered PAZ buses and the reign of Vladimir Volkov. Is anyone planning to do something about the carrier?» the passenger lamented.
Reader of 76.RU Alexander said that on the morning of 2 February he froze while waiting for bus No. 57 «Fabrika “Krasny Pereval” — Ulitsa Gudovantseva».
«There were no departures at 7:11 and 7:26. I stood at the stop on Pervomaiskaya Street,» the Yaroslavl resident commented.
Both routes are operated by the carrier «Startrans». The company gave its explanations regarding the delays.
«On 30 January, delays on route No. 13 occurred due to traffic congestion on Moskovsky Prospekt and Sovetskaya Street. From 18:50, delays on the route were from 27 minutes. All departures were delayed by 20 to 40 minutes,» the Organizer of Transportation of the Yaroslavl Region said.
Startrans also said that the cause of the problem with the No. 57 bus was a technical breakdown and the driver«s temperature.
«On 2 February, the schedule violation on route No. 57 occurred due to a technical malfunction of bus state plate M289KhR76 (at 7:11). The 7:26 departure was not made because a medical inspector did not clear the driver for work (temperature). An explanatory conversation was held with the dispatch service on strengthening control over the dispatch and movement of buses on the specified route and the prompt switching of buses to ensure uniform movement on the route,» added the regional Organizer of Transportation.
Earlier, authorities also explained where electric buses had disappeared from the streets of Yaroslavl. As it turned out, amid the frost, a technical malfunction of the electric transport occurred. Specialists from the manufacturer are trying to restore the vehicles.
