Warming Point with Stove, Clinic Deployed in Yaroslavl

Due to a cold snap in Yaroslavl Region, the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS) has deployed a heating point. It is equipped to assist drivers and passengers.

The mobile heating point is operational at the 134th kilometer of the M-8 «Moscow — Kholmogory» highway in Pereslavl-Zalessky until 14:00 on January 27. It was set up on January 23 in response to a sharp temperature drop.

Rescuers shared photos of the facility. «The mobile heating point is equipped with a potbelly stove, an autonomous power source, areas for eating, providing medical assistance, a sanitation unit, and resting places,» reported the Ministry of Emergency Situations for Yaroslavl Region.

Drivers and passengers caught in traffic jams can turn to the point. Water, food, and essential items are available here. Rescuers are on duty at the site.

The department added that if necessary, a similar point will be deployed in the Rostov district.

Frosts are expected in the region until January 26, after which warming is forecast. Residents were warned in advance about the cold snap. In emergencies, one should call 112.
