Volgograd tram routes changed after crossing accident
A road traffic accident on Rostovskaya Street in the Voroshilovsky District of Volgograd has changed the routes of five tram lines. It also caused problems for car traffic on Profsoyuznaya Street.
The first information about the accident appeared in the Telegram channel «Volgograd Tram».
The dispatcher reports: due to the accident, the boundaries of tram routes No. 1, 4, 5, 6 and 7 have been temporarily changed, the message says. Trams on route No. 1 are running between Monchegorskaya and Kim streets, trams on route No. 4 — from the «Shoe Factory» stop to Kim Street, trams No. 5, 6 and 7 go to the final stop «Children»s Center«. We will provide additional updates on the situation. We apologize for the inconvenience.
According to the Yandex Maps service, the accident occurred on Rostovskaya Street at the intersection of the road with tram tracks. As a result of the accident, a traffic jam of cars is already forming on Profsoyuznaya Street.
The fact of the accident was also confirmed by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Volgograd Region, adding that only vehicles were damaged in the collision.
