Volgograd to Slightly Extend Zero Longitudinal Highway

The Volgograd administration is preparing to announce public hearings on extending the Zero Longitudinal highway northward. Documentation for the planning and land surveying project has already been published on the website of the department of urban planning and architecture.
According to the project, a new road 236 meters long will appear in the city. It will run from the intersection of Marshal Chuykov and Marshal Krylov streets past the Tourist Hotel further north and is intended to provide vehicle access to residential, public buildings, institutions, enterprises, and other urban development objects with the arrangement of parking spaces for motor transport. The project also provides for the relocation of a 1200-millimeter diameter main water pipeline.
It is expected that after construction is completed, a road section 0.236 kilometers long with two lanes each three meters wide will appear in the city. The arrangement of sidewalks one meter wide is also planned, as well as the organization of 155 parking spaces.
Public hearings will be held from February 2 to 20, and documentation can be reviewed at the department of architecture and urban planning. The exposition will be open from February 2 to 18 on weekdays from 10:00 to 12:00 at the address: Port-Said Street, 7a. Wishes and proposals for making changes to the territory planning project can be sent directly to the department of urban planning and architecture, through the «Gosuslugi» portal, or left in the exposition«s journal.
It is worth recalling that the «VYAZ» competence center offered its vision for the development of this embankment section. In the distant future, young architects proposed placing modern bases for sailing sports in the Krasnooktyabrsky district. They even promise to revive the «Monolit» stadium, where a large track and field complex will appear in the very distant future.
